Our Fresh & Fruity house brand of Extra Virgin Olive Oil originates from trees in Samaria, in the Hills of Judea. Immediately after pressing, the olive oil is stored in small stainless steel tanks and flushed with an inert gas to prevent oxidation. 

The dark green bottle is fitted with a convenient non-drip cap and is made of UV protection glass that guards the oil from the negative effects of oxygen and light annd help to retain its perfect balance. 

Fruity olive oil is ideal for seasoning food toward the end of cooking and just before serving. It's best drizzled over fish, steak, soup, mashed potatoes, tomatoes, or grilled vegetables, and, of course, whisked into a vinaigrette.

Tasting Notes: Blended from early-harvest olives that produce oil with rich and distinct "green" fruity flavors and fresh grassy aromas. Delicately pungent it has a much-loved peppery finish.

 

Culinary Suggestion: Try Fresh & Fruity Olive Oil to liven up green salads; or simply drizzle it over grilled fish or meat.

 

Suggested Storage: Keep the olive oil in a dark, cool place. The presence of sediments is natural to the product.

 

Cooking with olive oil is like cooking with wine.

Think about olive oil as you would of wine. Use different olive oils for different purposes. Strong and robust extra virgin olive oils can be used for cooking fish, meat, to make marinades, or to drizzle on strongly flavored ingredients like peppers or garlic. A medium intensity, well-rounded extra virgin olive oil is great on mozzarella or for bread dipping. We love it in vinaigrette or sprinkled on various steamed vegetables and on baked potatoes. A mellow late harvest oil could be used in baking a cake or to make mayonnaise. Olive oil or virgin olive oil are good for frying and sautéing.

 

Never use a wine or olive oil that does not taste good to you. An inferior one will leave an aftertaste. If you do the taste test and compare the "pure" to the "extra-virgin" and the you'll understand the difference.

Cooking with Olive Oil

However when cooking with olive oil, save your extra-virgin expensive oils for salads, dressings, and vinaigrettes. Use it on a baked potato or add it to mashed potatoes instead of butter. Extra virgin olive oil tastes great on cooked vegetables or brushed onto fish or meat before serving.

It is of course always appreciated as a bread dipper or simply dabbed on a toasted piece of country bread that has been scratched with a clove of garlic.
